August Wilson

Playwright August Wilson died in 2005 but his work continues to show up on stages and on screens. His plays are performed in places as varied as New York City and Ashland, Oregon. And in his hometown of Pittsburgh the August Wilson African American Cultural Center is the home of a permanent exhibit dedicated to his life and work. This three-minute preview of a PBS American Masters presentation offers a nice overview of the life and work of August Wilson. (August Wilson: The Ground on Which I Stand was aired on PBS in 2015 and remains pertinent.)
