Introducing The Emancipator
March 8, 2022
Boston University’s Center for Antiracist Research and The Boston Globe are collaborating to resurrect and reimagine The Emancipator. Just as 19th-century antislavery publications reframed and amplified the quest for abolition, the reimagined version of The Emancipator will center critical voices, debates, and evidence-based opinion to reframe the national conversation on racial equity and hasten a more racially just society. The anticipated launch is later this year. Watch co-editors in chief Amber Payne and Deborah Douglas talk about the purpose of the new communications initiative.
